What to expect
- Around 40 wooden chalets run by artisans from across Quebec
- More than 150 free shows and activities over the season, including music and theatre
- Fire pits to warm up by, mulled wine and holiday treats
- The LUMINO light installations all around the Quartier des spectacles
Tips
- Go after dark. The chalets are prettiest once the lights come on, around 4 p.m. in December.
- Visit on a weeknight to avoid Saturday crowds.
- Make an evening of it: skate at the Esplanade Tranquille, see The Nutcracker at Place des Arts or visit Santa’s Kingdom at Complexe Desjardins, all steps away.
- Open on Christmas Day: it’s one of the few festive outings on December 25.
