What to expect
Professional craftspeople from across Quebec, carefully selected by the Conseil des métiers d’art, sell their work directly to the public: ceramics, jewellery, glass, woodwork, leather, textiles, fashion and design. Every piece is made by the artisan, so it’s one of the best places in Montreal for unique Christmas gifts. In recent years, the show has featured close to 200 artisans.
A new home for the 70th edition
The fair was held for decades at Place Bonaventure, then at the Palais des congrès. For its 70th anniversary, it moves to the Grand Quai in the Old Port with a redesigned format.
Tips
- Go early in the week for the best selection.
- Bring a list: it’s easy to spend hours here.
- Combine with Old Montreal: the Grand Quai is steps from Place Jacques-Cartier and Saint-Paul Street. Old Montreal at Christmas
